Cedarcrest Health’s Patient Financial Services department is seeking a Billing Specialist to process patient and insurance billing for services rendered across Cedarcrest Medical Center, Renner Community Hospital, and affiliated physician practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims for hospital and physician services
- Review and resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Respond to patient billing inquiries by phone and through the MyCedarcrest portal
- Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts
- Coordinate with insurance carriers to verify coverage and resolve outstanding balances
- Maintain compliance with payer billing requirements and hospital policy
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or business preferred
- Prior medical billing or health insurance experience preferred
- Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding a plus
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
