Cedarcrest Medical Center’s Laboratory Services department is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to provide accurate, patient-focused specimen collection for inpatients and outpatients across our main campus.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages
- Correctly label, process, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocol
- Verify patient identification using two-identifier standards prior to collection
- Maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment
- Respond to stat draw requests from nursing units in a timely manner
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred
- Prior phlebotomy experience in a hospital or laboratory setting preferred
- Ability to work a flexible, variable schedule including weekends and holidays
