Join the team at Cedarcrest Medical Center’s busy, Level III-verified Emergency Department, where you’ll provide rapid assessment and treatment to patients across the full spectrum of acuity, from routine urgent care needs to critical trauma and cardiac events.
Responsibilities
- Perform triage and rapid clinical assessment of patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Initiate emergency interventions in accordance with established protocols
- Coordinate care with physicians, EMS personnel, and specialty consultants
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and interventions
- Provide patient and family education regarding discharge and follow-up instructions
- Participate in departmental quality improvement and emergency preparedness initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania RN license
- Minimum two years of emergency or critical care nursing experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required within ninety days of hire
- TNCC certification preferred
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress, fast-paced situations
