Cedarcrest Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our 42-bed Medical/Surgical Unit. This role provides direct patient care to adult patients recovering from surgery or managing acute medical conditions, working closely with physicians, case managers, and rehabilitation staff to coordinate a safe and effective plan of care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy
- Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe transitions of care
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania RN license or eligibility for licensure
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred within six months of hire
- Prior medical/surgical or acute care experience preferred but not required for new graduates
