Emergency & Trauma Services
The Emergency Department at Cedarcrest Medical Center is verified as a Level III Trauma Center by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation, providing rapid, specialized care for the most seriously injured patients in Kettle County and the surrounding region. Our emergency physicians, trauma-trained nurses, and support staff are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Renner Community Hospital also maintains a full emergency department, staffed around the clock, providing an important access point for residents of Renner, Ellery Township, and outlying rural areas. Patients requiring a higher level of trauma care are stabilized and transferred promptly to Cedarcrest Medical Center or, when necessary, to regional Level I centers.
Our emergency services include:

- Level III trauma capability with on-call surgical teams
- Rapid stroke and cardiac response protocols
- On-site imaging and laboratory services
- Pediatric-friendly emergency care
Cedarcrest’s Emergency Department participates in regional EMS coordination with Kettle County ambulance services to ensure smooth handoffs and timely treatment for patients arriving by ground transport. Our helipad allows for direct transfer in the most critical cases.
