Laboratory Services

Cedarcrest Laboratory Services provides comprehensive clinical laboratory testing for hospital patients, outpatient referrals, and physician offices throughout the Allegheny Highlands. Our laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists, reflecting our ongoing commitment to accuracy and quality in every test we perform.

Our medical technologists and phlebotomists process thousands of specimens each month, ranging from routine blood work ordered during an annual physical to complex diagnostic testing requested by our specialty physicians. Outpatient lab draw stations are available at Cedarcrest Medical Center, Renner Community Hospital, and our Bramford outpatient office, with no appointment necessary for most routine tests.

Laboratory services include:

• Routine blood chemistry and hematology testing
• Coagulation studies
• Microbiology and culture testing
• Pathology and biopsy analysis
• Employer and pre-employment drug screening

Patients can view most laboratory results directly through the MyCedarcrest patient portal once their physician has reviewed them, typically within one to two business days of the sample being drawn.
