Neurology & Stroke Care
Cedarcrest Medical Center is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center, meaning our Emergency Department and neurology team follow strict protocols designed to identify and treat stroke as quickly as possible. Time is critical when treating stroke, and our team works to evaluate patients and begin appropriate treatment, including clot-dissolving medication when indicated, without delay.
Our board-certified neurologists also provide outpatient evaluation and treatment for a wide range of neurologic conditions, including migraine, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. Diagnostic services such as EEG and nerve conduction studies are available on site.
Neurology services include:
- Stroke evaluation and rapid response treatment
- Epilepsy and seizure management
- Migraine and headache treatment
- EEG and nerve conduction studies
- Movement disorder evaluation
Patients recovering from stroke benefit from coordinated care with our Rehabilitation Services team, helping many regain speech, strength, and independence following hospitalization. Our community outreach team also offers free stroke risk screenings each spring.
