Cedarcrest Health Foundation Community Health Fair Draws Record Crowd
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — September 27, 2025 — Harlow Falls, PA
HARLOW FALLS, PA — More than 1,400 residents attended the fourteenth annual Cedarcrest Health Community Health Fair, held on the grounds of Cedarcrest Medical Center, making it the best-attended health fair in the event’s history, according to organizers.
The free event offered blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, glucose testing, skin cancer checks, and dental screenings, along with educational booths staffed by Cedarcrest Health physicians, nurses, and dietitians. Renner Community Hospital and the Cedarcrest Health Foundation both had a strong presence at this year’s fair, alongside more than thirty community partner organizations.
“Every year this event gets a little bigger, and every year I’m reminded of how much our community values access to this kind of preventive care,” said Bev Talcott, Director of Volunteer Services, who helped coordinate the fair’s more than 120 volunteers. “Screenings like these catch things early, and early detection saves lives.”
This year’s fair also featured a new pediatric health zone, sponsored by the Cedarcrest Health Foundation, with activities for children and screenings geared toward school-age kids ahead of the academic year.
“Events like this are exactly why we exist as a nonprofit health system,” said CEO J. Thomas Weller. “We don’t wait for people to get sick and come find us — we go out into the community and meet people where they are.”
